Amla Ayurvedic Cleansing Mask for Flawless Skin

“For most of us, the most common and unfortunate side effect of skin problems is isolation. We don’t want to be seen the way we look. You can hide a lot of physical flaws, but not acne. It’s right there, on the first thing people notice about us – our face. And it’s hard for some of us to imagine that people can see the face – the PERSON – behind the acne.”

Nature gives us every ingredient to have a radiant and glowing skin, heal imperfections and make it look smooth and supple. Our inner part, a spiritual one, should be in balance too. If the words you spoke appeared on your skin, would you still be beautiful? Considering the impact of your personal attitude to what happens in life we can contribute tremendously into mental and physical health. The condition of the skin would be a mirror if we cultivate self-acceptance unconditionally.

Would you like to try a recipe of an old-good healing remedy for skin care? Everything you do exemplify your characteristic of beauty. You deserve to be pampered and to look & feel sensational!

Today Amla cleansing mask will help us to do it 😀 There are only 4 ingredients which are super affordable and easy to find in local Indian shops or stores with natural and organic cosmetics.

1. Amla, 1 tsp

Indian gooseberries (the botanical name is Phyllanthus emblica), also known as amla in the subcontinent, belongs to a different family of Euphorbiaceae. A deciduous tree that grows up to 20 to 30 feet high, usually found in India and Nepal. Often referred as the Indian or Nepalese gooseberry, best known for its round, small and green fruit. The word “amla” is derived from the Sanskrit word “amlaki”.

A major ingredient in most ayurvedic products, especially the Chyavanprash and the Triphala churna, amla is a potent fruit known for promoting health and longevity.

The health benefits of Indian Gooseberry are endless: starting with a high content of vitamin A which is essential in collagen production, a compound that keeps the skin looking young and elastic. Amla prevents health-related hyperlipidemia by alleviating oxidative stress in the ageing process. Applying directly on a face it adds natural glow to the skin and lightens the complexion. When you apply Amla powder directly to the face, it reduces oiliness and heals acne. Vitamin C successfully fights with blemishes and pigmentation, making skin’s texture smooth and supple.

Mask 12. Rose Water, 1 tsp

The Queen of the flowers is ready to help with antibacterial, antinflammatory and anti-scarring properties. A bonus worth to mention: it drives away nagging acne and reduces the surface oiliness of the face. You’re welcome to read the whole article about Rose Water here.

Salicylic acid found in a plant reduces skin inflammations, blistering and itchiness, while helping the skin to heal more rapidly.
